Covering the Bones

Lately, it’s become popular among designers to purchase a quality piece of furniture that has desirable, style transcendent “bones” with the intent to reupholster it as fashions change, rather than simply discarding it when it’s time to update the look of a room.

Seems simple enough; but where do you find the fabric and expertise when that time comes?

We have a soft spot for Fabric Depot and Supply located at Cave Creek Road and Bell Road. They are the textile industry's version of a candy store. You'll find everything from elegant indoor fabrics to boat and even car fabrics. And if you aren't up to doing it yourself, they can recommend an expert who can do it for you at a reasonable price.

So start looking at the bones of your furniture with the confidence that you have the resources to make it into that perfect piece for your room.
